Hi,  ich bin Sandy!

Ich lebe in Graz, wo ich meine Ausbildung zur Diplom-Fotografin abgeschlossen habe und derzeit an meinem Master arbeite.

Fotografie ist für mich mehr als ein Bild – sie ist Gefühl, Intuition und Ausdruck.
Meine Arbeiten sind ein Spiegel dessen, wie ich die Welt sehe – und wie ich sie fühle. Besonders faszinieren mich die leisen, übersehenen Momente. Sie tragen oft eine Tiefe in sich, die im Alltag verloren geht. Genau diese mache ich sichtbar.

Ich glaube daran, dass in allem eine Geschichte steckt – eine, die es wert ist, erzählt zu werden. Mit meinen Bildern möchte ich andere dazu inspirieren, die Vielfalt des Lebens zu entdecken. Schönheit und Einzigartigkeit zeigen sich oft dort, wo man nicht hinsieht – und genau dorthin richtet sich mein Blick.

Ein Wendepunkt in meiner künstlerischen Entwicklung war meine Reise nach Mexiko – besonders der Besuch im Frida-Kahlo-Museum.
Auch wenn Frida mit dem Pinsel gearbeitet hat und ich mit der Kamera: Malen und Fotografieren sind für mich zwei Ausdrucksformen derselben inneren Bewegung – dem Wunsch, Gefühle sichtbar zu machen.
Frida Kahlos Mut und Ausdruckskraft begleiten mich – nicht als Vergleich, sondern als tiefe Inspiration.
Ihre Kompromisslosigkeit im Umgang mit Schmerz, Identität und innerer Stärke hat mich tief berührt. Sie hat mir gezeigt, wie kraftvoll Bilder sein können – wenn man den Mut hat, ehrlich zu erzählen.

I live in Graz, where I completed my degree in photography and am currently pursuing my master’s degree.

Photography, to me, is more than just an image – it is emotion, intuition, and expression.
My work reflects the way I see – and feel – the world. I’m especially drawn to the quiet, overlooked moments. They often carry a depth that gets lost in everyday life. These are exactly the moments I make visible.

I believe that everything has a story – one that deserves to be told. Through my photographs, I want to inspire others to discover the richness of life. Beauty and uniqueness often appear where no one is looking – and that’s exactly where I turn my gaze.

A turning point in my artistic development was my journey to Mexico – especially visiting the Frida Kahlo Museum.
Even though Frida worked with a paintbrush and I with a camera: painting and photography are, to me, two expressions of the same inner movement – the desire to make emotion visible.
Frida Kahlo’s courage and expressive power continue to inspire me – not as a comparison, but as a deep source of strength.
Her uncompromising way of dealing with pain, identity, and inner strength deeply moved me. She showed me how powerful images can be – if you have the courage to tell the truth.
